Be pleasant to your guy: Talk about the nice memories. Show him your sweet side. Make him realize what a warm, loving person you are. Put all the unpleasantness of the break up behind you. If you are rude or nag him, he might get frustrated and try to get away from you.
Don’t pretend: It is one thing to be pleasant; it is another to pretend being nice while silently seething inside. Observe whether you are being nice to him at the cost of losing your own individuality. Notice whether you can be natural and pleasant around him. It could be a disaster to get back together again if all he loves is a make-believe you and not the real you.

You have to work at it to make it happen. If you made mistakes in the past, rectify it and don’t ever repeat it. Have a frank discussion with your ex. Don’t play tricks: No honest relationship can be made on a dishonest foundation. Even a small lie or a little overstatement can have huge repercussions later. You might get your ex back temporarily by tricking him but this will only last till he discovers the truth. Once he does, it will shatter the relation and you will never be able to get your ex back again. Making a clean breast of things and starting on an honest footing will make your relationship stronger.
Do be careful: If your ex-boyfriend has already moved into another relationship, move carefully. He has found a new girlfriend so naturally now she will be his priority. You have to attract his attention back to you. You cannot do this by becoming bitter. Charm him. Make him realize that there could be no other “you”. This could only be done by being gentle and caring.
Don’t try to incite envy: If you try to make him jealous by going out with another guy, not only are you being dishonest about your emotions, you are also using another human being (your date) for your own gains. That is just not fair. There is no reason to get a guy like that.
