When you apologize be careful not to enter into an argument with your ex. You might try to defend yourself when he/she blames you and that might just mess up the situation more. Never let your ego and pride get the better of you- or you might end up losing your ex forever.

2. Discussing issues with your ex: You could request your ex to spend some time discussing about the problems in the relationship so that you could solve them. Don’t pressurize or desperately beg your ex to talk with you. During the discussion discuss the problems in an unbiased manner and use your tact to avoid fights. Keep blame out of the conversations. 3. Back off from your ex for a while: To get your ex back you must leave them alone for a while. Don’t communicate with them and avoid meeting them for a short time period. This will give you both time to cool down your charged emotions. Your ex will miss your presence and soon get back to you.

4. Get on with your life: Show them you are strong. Don’t spend time stalking your ex, or whining for them. Instead try to enjoy your life with friends. Don’t take your ex’s phone calls. Call them back after a couple of days and pretend that you were busy.  Such behavior will obviously be a surprise for them. This may retrieve the lost attraction and she/he may pursue you yet again.
